Busy, busy, busy, BUSY!

Oh, I’ve had such strong intentions…

but oh, each night I am so weary when potential opportunity comes.

I’m determined to cross a few more things off my lists tonight.

I’m watching the Democratic National Convention as I work — disappointed so far — hoping I don’t have to wait toooooo much longer before Barrack Obama’s speech.  I’m curious to hear it and watch it live.

We’ve had two days of wonderful, much needed rain; hooray!

I’ve had a few days of rewarding tutoring experiences.

I’m thoroughly enjoying my current Univ. of Phoenix course, Technology in Adult Education!  Excellent, thought-provoking readings.

I’m reflecting a lot about the NIFL listservs’ recent requests for us to ponder a change from “listservs” to Commnities of Practice.  I like it.  I like the questions they listed to encourage our responses.

Trying to manage my time more efficiently — an ongoing challenge — and reflecting, too, about how diigo has helped me a lot recently… a great tool!

Reading (rereading) Zora Neale Hurston’s “Their Eyes Were Watching God” (and other stories)

Perusing a few favorite books for calming quotes, photos, inspiration.

gaining strength from my collection of stones — do you have a collection of stones that bring comfort?  I have a group of 5 small stones that I gathered the first time I visited the home we live in — as a hopeful “make it happen” gesture — they still cheer me.

I have a heart-shaped lavender quartz stone that is one of my favorites, too.

I have several others, all with some meaning for me, all which fit nicely in the palm of my hand, all with some intangible ability to heal my spirit.

This is an odd post from me; guess I’m in an odd mood!

more soon,

holly
