soap in your mouth? (or cortisone cream?)

Bleahhhh!  My morning did not begin so positively…

I have a habit to confess — I frequently use tiny dabs of toothpaste on the tip of my tongue as a ‘breath freshener’ (I even carry those little purse-sized tubes in my purse for just this purpose).

Recently, I’ve been plagued with a few itchy bites and have been using a tube of cortisone cream to help stop the itching.  Apparently, last night when I applied the cream, I left the tube laying on the counter next to the toothpaste… (are you guessing where this story is going???)

Well, this morning, I arose without putting on my glasses, brushed my teeth, gargled with mouthwash, but still my mouth felt “morning-breath-ish” so I groggily reached for the toothpaste to get a dab… and,

YUCKKKKKKK!  I apparently placed a foul-tasting dab of cortisone cream instead!!!!

Bleah!  spit!  bleah!

Lessons learned:  put on glasses, LOOK, put away non-toothpaste tubes!
